As we near to a close of 2023, it's hard not to think back on the struggles this year brought upon the world. From economic constraints, political turmoil, war fronts, the list goes on. For those of us that were a part of the good, God Bless. For those of us that were a part of the bad, God Bless. We all experience hardships, but one thing I've come to realize is that no matter the struggle, we're always better together in numbers.
My goal for the new year is to donate a portion of Mary Gains earnings to SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education). This year aside from a few successes, had many personal hardships. In July I lost my 17-year-old nephew, Joey, who I looked at more as a little brother. I believe young men & women are hit hard the most at this age, especially with the current rise in technology & navigating life as a young adult.
I'd like to make a difference here in the hopes to help save a few lost souls. Not only did I lose my nephew Joey, but also my cousin Jacob to suicide a few years ago. Please look out for your loved ones throughout 2024 & the many years to come. If you haven't heard from them in a while, be the first one to reach out consistently & see how they are doing. I wish I did it more.
